Current research
My research focuses on the ecology, behaviour and conservation of marine fauna, with a particular interest in deep-sea ecosystems. I am also interested in trophic relationships, anthropogenic impacts, and macroecological patterns in marine systems.
Currently, I work as Fisheries Scientist at the Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science (CEFAS), contributing to a wide range of projects, from low to high latitudes.

Changes in deep-sea benthic communities and fisheries in the European margin
Continental slopes are highly diverse ecosystems, which are influenced by strong environmental gradients and human-induced impacts. Three datasets will be analysed to access the potential effects of changes in benthic communities in three sites of the European margin: stable isotope analyses of deepwater fish communities, visual assessments of trawling impacts, and historical fishing and climate records.
